On page 49: Meeting the Zero Hunger Challenge: "The Zero Hunger Challenge, launched in 2012 by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, integrates a zero food loss and waste challenge and a 100 percent sustainable food system challenge. How can this be accomplished? ... Through a science-based marriage of nutrition and agriculture, agricultural remedies can be provided for nutritional maladies. For achieving nutrition security, there is a need for concurrent attention to under-nutrition or calorie deprivation, protein hunger, and hidden hunger caused by the deficiency in the diet of micronutrients like iron, iodine, zinc, vitamin A and vitamin B12.... Micro-nutrient deficiencies can be addressed through the popularization of biofortified crops."
